Unfortunately the FF is joining the spontaneously-combustible club, following the other FF that caught on fire in Germany last November. Looks to be the fire started in the rear and not up front with the V12 heart of the FF. The sorry-looking white FF pictured here suddenly caught fire while it was being driven down a highway in Shanghai, China over the weekend. By the time authorities arrived to douse the flames, the car was already toast. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape unharmed. |

Normally Ferrari's at least make it to their first service visit before becoming barbecues. I don't believe Lambo's even have a fire hazard reputation as strong as this now!

hopefully covered by warranty... will the owner get a replacement promptly or is the FF considered a hot car and he will need to wait for the next unsold position to be produced :=) |

This has risen to cliche' status. But Ferrari can get away with this seemingly endemic (and quite puzzling) problem. But can Ferrari just not remedy this issue, ever? Were this Ford or GM it would be all over the news, for years, perpetually, and would have sank the companies. Look at how Toyota took a severe character assassination over its defective Prius electronics. Had the Prius proven to have caught fire for 3 decades then Toyota would have ceased to exist long ago. |

| If I had the money to order a new one, I would actually hope it would catch fire......how exciting to know without going 190 mph you could actually die a fiery death at any given moment.....all to have a completely new one delivered to you. ~ Mario 1990 348 TS (87284) “I build cars for young men that only old men can afford” - Enzo Ferrari |
