Default Ferrari Highlight of 2011?

As the year is winding to a close, what was everyone's Ferrari highlight of the year.

Mine was participating in a small private trackday for 288 GTOs, F40s, F50s, & Enzos only. Being a part of and seeing all these rare cars being driven hard around a circuit was a great experience.

My Ferrari highlight was everyday in this year, when I was able to take "D" or/and now "F" for just a 20 to 40 km stint out. Not to forget the F40 in the early monthes of this year. I just love the Ferraris.

Another highlight was the Fled trip to Italy in February, although a lttle adventureous. But on this trip, I learned to know Barry and Capo, 2 absolutely great guys.....and the almost now yearly trip to the UK to Boxer. Thanks to all of you. You all enrich my life greatly !

My Ferrari highlight was also our Italian FLED.

In particular one highlight was flying to Milan, taking the train to Switzerland and all to meet Capo who had promised me an F430. As I came up the escalator in Lugano train station to street level (Capo was to meet me at the top of the escalator) I remember thinking "what am I doing? I hope Capo doesn't turn out to be a 13 yr old, promising Ferrari's from his bedroom!!" Of course nothing of the sort was the case!!

And what an excellent week we had. Making more friends who share the same passion (illness... )

The Senna movie night!

One of my favorite movies with a group of Ferrari nuts.

It was also nice to see many old acquaintances coming into FLife ... equally was sharing posts with the ole boys here.

All in all - 2011 was a damn good year!

Default highlight

this past summer , every saturday that i was in the 328 with the top off , and the warm dry california sun on my face , being able to pull over, shut it down , and stare out at the ocean, and just be in the moment , and realize that things just dont get any better. I am a driver , i have a Ferrari for the sole purpose to fullfill my passion to drive . I dont beleive that any other car can feed that passion, other than another Ferrari .

That looked like fun. What speed did that Lambo come past you at, at 3.00"?!

Being completely honest, mine was joining this site. You all are great people. Thank you for putting up with me for a whole year. Here's to another great year of Ferrari!

Watching Al warm his breakfast burrito on the muffler of his 360. Priceless.

Exploring France and Italy in the Michalone with sleeping navigator in the company of Onno and Harald. Enjoying views of beautiful Europe framed by the raked windscreen of the Michalone with the magnificent JazzyO 550 never far out of the frame. Visiting the Ferrari factory during this adventure to realise a 20 year old dream since first standing outside the factory gates. 4500km of FerrariLife Ferrari-driving bliss those 9 days in sunny September 2011. Capped by friendly cops sending me on my way after parking at 1am on the broad sidewalk outside the apartment after a 17 hour marathon drive from Verona back to Amsterdam. When the Michalone never missed a beat. And discovering how well a Ferrari Becker sat nav works in Ferrari continental cruising. What an adventure!

Current: 308 Michalone and a few 911's

That's a very kind thing to say

3 things for me.

Meeting Barry and having his 360 sit on my drive.
Finally shaking hands to agree to buy a TR once I sell the 308.
Getting a disc sent to me with loads of photos of a special car.

Barry,

I was accelerating out of the chicane so I was probably doing about 90 MPH when the Aventador passed me.
