Default Only in Africa

Hi All

I had a meeting in Pretoria this morning - around 60kms each way.

The 308 went beautifully - all vital signs were absolutely perfect - she didn't skip a beat.

While I was on the highway on the way back I got a bit startled when I heard a siren go off next to me. I looked out the window to see
a Metro Police car (Highway Patrol) next to me. The passenger cop was signalling me to put the pedal down and push it!!!

Only in Africa...

Excellent! Sounds like a bit of Autostrada exists between Joburb and Pretoria!

Great to hear that the 308 is running well and that the cracked manifold was the reason for the earlier scare. The "Safari Ferrari" is a beautiful example of a 308 GTSi and good to see her being enjoyed.

That is a great story, Schu !!! I am sure you were startled at first. Very interesting.

I have a similar experience, altho it was my RUF and not a Fcar. Few years back, I was crossing this bridge (with the usual traffic), and I noticed in my rear mirror a white bike (police) coming close. I was not speeding at all. He pulls up next to me (no sirens) and compliments my RUF. He added his comment, saynig that my car must be expensive and someone like himself cannot afford. I thanked him profusely and parted. w/ smiles Jimmy
