Yesterday, I have been invited to the official launch of the 458 Italia spider by Ferrari dealer Niki Hasler. This time he chosse to present it to the public in the wonderful Pantheon car museum. The launch of the 458 was one side (nice, smooth car, beautiful lines) but threal eye catcher was the special Ferrari exhibition which will last for the next 5 month. The exhibition includes about 40 Ferraris including 250 GTO, 250 LM, 250 MM, 250 Calif. spider LWB. all Supercars, all mid range street cars from the late 50 to mid 80's, 4 Formula 1 cars, including Niki Laudas '75 one. A fantastic exhibition for every Ferrari afficionado. Please visit it when you are in central Europe, its worthwhile ! Entry fee is 10 CHF ($11, 8 Euros) |

Thanks for sharing the info, I will definitely have a visit there during one of the winter days. Niki Hasler is a great guy and no wonder he was recently awarded as the best Swiss Ferrari seller.

Sounds great 212. Could be the perfect excuse for a night away in the new year! Don't think I've ever visited Basel before.

Hi 212, thanks for the info. I am sometimes in Zurich for work, but I never visited Basel. To all: anyone interested in trying to organize a meeting there? So to meet in person admiring so many Ferraris collected in one place. | If the timing worked and costs were reasonable I would happily fly over for a quick trip to the exposition. Plus having never visited Basel all the more reason to make the trip.

Something to cure the January blues perhaps? A quick day trip to Basel? Perhaps the first ever carless FLED. The first FLEW. Barry Ferrari's: 360 Modena F1, 308 GT4 Other Italians: Ducati 916, Ducati 848 DD's: RR Sport, BMW 645ci, BMW 1200GS Adv. |

For anyone making the effort of traveling to Basel, I strongly recommend to also visit the Schlumpf collection in Mulhouse (France), not far at all. You can easily find information and the homepage in google. You will not see Ferraris, but it is an incredible collection of classic cars, specially Bugattis (I think there are around 100 of them!).
