just saw that Mr.Rooney of CBS has passed on,,,,i have fond memories of watching 60 minutes with my parents when i was a young boy,,my favorite part of the show was at the end,,when i was always eager to liston to what he had to say,,,my God,,i can even remember when he replaced the point counter point segment...i must be getting old,,,happy saturday gentlemen,,,Brett

RIP, and thank you, Mr. Rooney. What a lovable, laughable journalist he was. Comments he made were inconsequential, but those everyday silly things mentioned were funny because they were true. How lucky he was to say what was on his mind in public and make a living as such, in that profession too. Thank You, Andy and we were lucky to have you as such. RIP. My favorite episode of his was when he made fun of how many "servings" of a particular food item were listed on the back of the package. For example, a small bag of chips said like 2 servings, he poored the bag of chips out on his desk and laughed that such a small amount was supposed to be 2 or so servings.
