Default 16M just back from Topaz Detailing London

I'm new to this forum, following the issues on FChat seems a number of us have jumped ship.
Thought some pics of my recently detailed 16M might be a good way to start!
Car is 'Nuovo Rosso F1' 3 layer paint.

(I've many shots of the process if anyone is interested and to those who already seen the pictures on FC - many apologies.)

Thanks for all the kind remarks.

Some pics before and after showing a bit of the process involved. This was detailed to stage 4 which they term as 99% correction (I think). The process is very thorough, before they start they go over the whole car checking the paint integrity, pleased to say they confirmed all paint is factory original, they always check the depth of each of the paint layers before starting work (3 in this case). Even the underside is polished! Result is stunning.

Stunning 16M and the three layer paint along with the extra CF is just perfect.

I still have my eye on a Fuji Bianco - any concerns with touch ups on the three layer paint?

Huge fan of the clear bra product - your 16M doesn't appear to have it installed.

I think this is where protection products have moved on in recent years, I have protection on front bumper, complete bonnet, half front wings, mirrors, carbon skirts and various edges that might be prone to chips. The detailing did include treating the bra product to give the clearest possible finish - works well I think! You can see where the bra stops on the wings in the picture, the blue tape coming up from the bumper to the headlight and then across to the bonnet shows the edge.

Even in strong sunlight where the 3 layer paint sings you have to look for the bra and then you are looking for the edge on top of the wings rather than for a colour change - the quality of colour transmission through the bra is 100%. You honestly wouldn't know it is fitted.

I completely agree - just curious about the triple layer paint worries.

My 612 has full hood bumpers lower areas and misc areas including the door handles and trunk to guard against my wife

congrats on your detailer using a paint meter. good sign. do those pics represent the true color? is the tile floor white or grey? i think the white balance of the pics may be off. Great looking car. I'm sure you are in love....

an aside. do they also call that color nuovo rosso scuderia?

You are correct about the colour representation, strip lights were a problem. Sunlight brings out a much more orange colour. I have seen the colour called 'Nuovo Rosso F1', 'Rosso F1 2007' and 'Nuovo Rosso Scuderia'. The ppg code under the bonnet shows 'Nuovo Rosso F1'.

Russ, better than showroom condition. Puts Ferrari to shame. They would possibly sell more cars if they all arrived in this condition.

Hey Russel,
From a very reliable source I heard yesterday that you are not driving the car but spending many hours in your garage just looking at it?? :-)
Went over to see the guys yesterday to have a chat and discuss what they could do for me and my 550 and I must say I am very impressed! Very nice guys and totally crazy about detailing. I was lucky as there was a 430 (from a customer from Bahrein..) they were just finishing and a brandnew R8 sitting in the workshop. They can't wait to get their hands on my car so I decided to give it a go. I'll be driving to the UK, via France/tunnel and then take the leap of faith of driving to, and through London which I normally only do by cab...

Well have to say I've spent more hours than normal just looking at it! LOL. Half the enjoyment is the look, the other half is most definitely the drive.

Guys at Topaz are truly passionate, I'm sure they will do a superb job!

Why not get your a** of that couch in your garage when I leave the train in the UK and let your gorgeous 16M guide me and my 550 to Kensington? I'll have the motorway to London vacuum cleaned for you so you will not get your bottom dirty
