458 Italia retains its crown as “Performance Car of the Year”

The Ferrari 458 Italia has been awarded the title of “Performance Car of the Year” by Auto Express magazine for the second year in a row.

Competing against some the most exciting performance cars on sale in the UK today, it was the Ferrari 458 Italia which was the clear favourite of the judging panel once again. All cars were scored for performance and handling both on road and on track, as well as for sheer desirability, with the 458 Italia earning top marks in all three categories.

Steve Fowler, Editor in Chief of Auto Express, commented: “Being a double winner of our Performance Car of the Year is a massive achievement for the 458 Italia. Nothing has come close to matching its blend of performance, agility, style and quality – this is a car that’s as thrilling to drive as it is to look at, a joy to potter around in and an absolute blast to drive fast. It’s going to take some stopping at next year’s shootout.”

The 458 has also been voted No.1 for The Best Drivers Car 2011 from Motor Trend Magazine (Second pic below).

It will be a great car for years to come.

The California will be the new Mondial keeper, IF they ever sort the problems entirely.

The 355/360/430 will be the 308/328/348 equiv down the road.

Can't wait for a low priced 599.

Is anyone concerned with production numbers?

No offense but I think there are 325 ... yes 325 ... 430's on the market.
