The Lamborghini Gallardo is not the first high performance sports car to enter service with the Italian police. In 1962 the police in Rome received a brand new Ferrari 350 GTE, chassis no. 3999. With a 3.0-litre engine pumping out 235CV at 7,000rpm, this 1695kg 2+2 rocket could hit a top speed of 230km/h. Painted jet-black it carried the insignia 'Flying Squad' on the doors and the numerical code, '555,555', the rapid response number of the Rome police. It quickly became a strong friend of the police in their fight against crime, and its regular driver Marshal Armando Spatafora, who was born in Syracusa in 1927, ended up a legendary figure in Rome, after he heroically chased criminal after criminal around the streets of Italy's capital, always careful though to put the safety of the city's inhabitants first. The Ferrari was retired from service in 1973 and now belongs to a private collector who has restored it to its original police condition. ![]() Stay out of the road if you want to grow old ---- 2005 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6: 6spd, fully loaded, Eibach springs and shocks, custom sound system (Alpine) 2004 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro: 6spd, Ultra Sport, Premium, Cold Weather, Lighting 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic 4x4 Ferrari = Coming soon to a highway near you! |

25.06.2004 "The Lamborghini Gallardo, which was recently handed over to the Italian police force in Rome, has made it's first arrest. The 'supercops' intervened to stop an Alfa Romeo 156 travelling at 190 km/h on the A1 motorway near Mentana. The Alfa driver could not believe his eyes and thought he was victim of a hidden camera show."

Police are lucky these days. Here in Arizona they have Crown Victorias and Impalas. But that Gallardo may catch vettes and vipers but not no Ferrari crusing the streets. Here is a Police car that can really catch ANYONE. They got a problem with my God and that I believe in it But they don\'t got a problem with the money when they spend it There so offended by 4 words that need now explanation In GOD we trust! |
