Is it just me or is Mr. Goodell getting a little crazy with the fines these days. The latest one, He fined Tebow for a billboard he had nothing to do with and Welker for a hat, and Pierre thomas for a Christmas greeting. Is this a new income stream of part of the most recent collective bargaining agreement? http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/dish...mous-billboard http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ed-hat/related http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/74...wn-celebration Seriously...WTF is going on? I've never been much of a fan of Authority anyway. Lane 348ts SS #64, Nero on Nero Last edited by Saint Bastage; 12-31-2011 at 01:28 PM. |

Goodell and the owners need more money. Billion dollar stadiums are the norm. The average lifespan of a football player is 52. According to a often-cited article in Sports Illustrated 78% of NFL players declare bankruptcy within two years of retirement. Any other industry with these numbers would be shut down. So when you post these Goodell moments whom I strongly dislike - the NFL is so messed it almost seems fictional. |

It was pointed out to me that the Tebow fine was not league imposed but rather a team thing, the point remains. Nothing seems right in the NFL anymore.
