Default Sparkling Lambrusco

Had not had any sparkling Lambrusco since I was in Italy in 1983 visiting the Ferrari factory (guess I did not look too hard), so it brings back fond memories. So what did I find in a Trader Joe's flyer, but red and white sparkling Lambrusco, cheap. Will probably taste like fizzy kool-aid, but what the heck. Wife picked up 8 bottles. Will report later on how the wine tastes.

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

Ed- Tasted great and I only drank one bottle tonight. Jan only had a half glass and then gave me the fish-eye as I finished the bottle. At least it was only 750 ml. Good thing she has a sense of humor.

Last time I tasted Lambrusco I was well under the legal age and drinking it from the bottle. Oh the good old days. Felt like an F1 driver on the podium (except i was a teenager and on a beach). Classy.

Trader Joe's has some good stuff - next time I go there will have to pick up a bottler or 8

I asked how they sell their wine so low - response was they bought the winery.

No idea it it's true ... it is an amazing concept given the store size and quality.

Trader Joe's is owned by the Aldi Group. They are very tough negotiators.

LD- Welcome to Ferrari Life and introduce yourself down below in member introductions.

On buying the winery, of course it is not true, but it makes a great story for customers.
