How to spot a Singapore "native"

It is sunny and 90° outside, not a cloud in the sky. You see a white guy carrying an umbrella. Right there - That guy is not a tourist. He lives here and he knows. It is November and you need an umbrella. Sick of rice and noodles and you want to know where to get the best cheese dog? Ask the white guy with the umbrella. He'll know.

That means virtually all the time, no ? I was in Singapore long time ago for couple of days. The humidity was very taxing. w/ smiles Jimmy

"taxing"?!?! The humidity is so high that when I take a shower and an hour later I'm still wet. My girlfriend says, "You are sweating." I say, "No, I'm still wet from my shower." It doesn't evaporate. Talcum powder. When a man has talcum powder in his toiletries you know he's a Singaporean.
