...just because I am fairly new here! I was wondering, although I am fairly sure all 550 owners have the same wish, if there is anyone who knows where I could get a luggage set by Schedoni for my car, in black. Sometimes a set shows up on Ebay for crazy amounts of $$. I wrote Schedoni an email a while ago but, as you all probably know, the don't produce for Ferrari anymore and are legally bound so they can't produce them anymore. Very nice people over there as the big boss wrote me an email back inviting me for a tour at the factory. When in Italy I might just visit them as they are truly masters with leather. Anyway....if you know of, or have a set, that's for sale.....please let me know! Jeroen |

Hey Doug, I'm doing that every week, but you know how it is out there...I'm often tempted to buy something, however, it's no use to buy the wrong model or color for a lot of money and not using it... |

well you are allowed several silly questions: I'm living proof. Ferrari site, has them new IIRC, but the color would most likely need changing by someone else: IIRC, color selections are very limited and never have seen them in black. BTW: Mondial T's luggage? $7,000+ USD for seven pieces last time I checked about four years ago. Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! Hm. Just generic luggage. They used to offer model specific. I even have some screen prints with the Mondial luggage for effect. Guess they are out of that biz...sorry. guess it's ebay or request on this site. Used, in mint condition usually goes between $1,000-$1,500 USD. But I've picked up my items via esnipe.com on ebay for hundreds less. Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH ! The 575M also had a luggage set that will fit, but all colors were gray mixed with one of the three colors available. Even if I had a Nero interior, I would actually prefer a Cuoio luggage set. Here is the 575M luggage. You might contact Tom Shaughnessy. He buys all kinds of parts and may have a set or know where to find one. Doug- That one is not familiar to me. Was he selling parts on FChat? Incidentally, my url for Tom was not for Shaughnessy, but for a guy named Tom Wilson, who is restoring a 250 GTE. He mentions Shaughnessy in the text and I fouled up and assumed incorrectly whose blog it was. A very rare option. I've had three cars that offered the custom luggage. The build sheets on each contained almost every option/upgrade possible, but not one bought the luggage. I'd love a set for my 599, and would gladly pay $2k, but not seven. I imagine the original owners felt the same...

Shaughnessy's site says: closed indefinately... Sheehan's site only has cars for sale but I'll drop him an email anyway... This search could become 'holy grail-ish'.... Apperently the stuff is very rare which explaines the prices you guys mentioned. This thread may even push them higher...Funny thing is that whenever a set or even 1 piece surfaces somewhere, they are all new and never used, why would you keep a set in the attick unused for years? Even for Ferrari enthousiasts there must be a limit to what they (we) would pay for a suitcase, even when the prancing horse is on it... Funny, let's save that luggage for a rainy day |

My guess is that they're not all that practical. Most bags have wheels today. For weekend trips they might be fine, but I can't see lugging F-bags through an airport. Now, the leather wheelie that they sell in the Ferrari stores is another story. It's beautiful AND practical! |

re- the luggage is always new. i imagine few f-cars go on holiday. period. no holiday, no luggage. i have never taken my 328 on vacation. i imagine most that are able to afford that luggage and the car that comes with it mainly vacation more than driving distance. certainly here in the us that is the case.

Celeste and I try to "vacation" in the Spider 3-4 times a year. Distance is never an issue as much as time and weather. We both have a small wheelie bag and an overnight bag that fit in the Spider. I wanted a set of fitted F-luggage but decided it would just sit in the garage in their nice dust bags. I'm not sure a set would be much of a selling point to most people either. Sure is pretty though.... |

As I collected all the brochures, paint chips, carpeting examples etc. etc. for each car. As for luggage We vacation every weekend when the chance but I only use the makeup box for oil storeage and a couple rags. Other than that, all the ten pieces I have for both cars, sits, as most other owners, in a closet with their nice dust bags. Good for a concourse, but other than that documentation has little value. Newer, as stated, have wheels. We actually have other leather luggage that just works better...go figure as don't want to actually scratch the real stuff what a wasteBTW: Don't wear Ferrari clothing that much, but wife likes the Pink Cavallino hat for volley ball. For concourse use, doesn't the luggage have to be documented on the original window sticker? I think that is a technicality IIRC. Of course original luggage does make a nice addition to a display. | |

| WOW: So if on the sticker it is a needed item?! I was only talking display. Like throwing brouchers on the seats etc....something for the crowd.
