Default 550 interior

Hi all,

Does someone own a 550 Maranello with the leather diamond stitched interior? (headliner and the space behind the seats)
Would it be possible to upload some pics (or are they in a thread somewhere in FL?) and perhaps give me some measurements of the diamonds so I can have that made by a car interior specialist?
Or does any of you know of a place where I could buy this in black with red stitches that would also ship to Europe?

Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Jeroen

Jeroen- Here is a photo of an early 575M, not mine, with the quilted rear shelf. You should be able to figure out how big the diamonds are from the width of the luggage straps and the distance between buckle holes compared to your 550, since those parts are identical to the 575's.

Never have seen the quilted rear shelf on any 575M option list, but here it is. The car had standard 575M door panels. Not sure about the roof, which was also available quilted on the 550, IIRC.

Great Terry, exactly what I need!
I see there are differences because the car I saw had the same option, but also had the speaker panels quilted. Should have taken a picture.
I also like the headliner quilted although I am not sure if it will look good in my 550, as I have the carbon racing seats.
My interior is nero with red stitching, carbon seats, partial leather, partial (red) fabric. Not the best looking combo IMO. I think I will have the seats changed to full leather. Bare with me for the pics.

Any preferences/tips about what to do, guys? However, it'll probably all be a matter of taste, I guess.

Jeroen- Here are the racing seats on the 550 in Nero. From the stitching pattern, it looks like they would look great with red stitching. I have the standard 575M seats in Charcoal with red stitching, and they look good enough I will probably not change to Daytona inserts, although I will put in a leather rear shelf at some time. Charcoal is much darker than it looks in the photo.

What about the chairs? Full leather? I think that will look a lot better..

Jeroen- I would go with full black leather with red stitching to match the rest of your interior.

Ed- See the seats above. The structure, seatbacks and sides are molded of CF and the seating area is either leather or leather and cloth on a 550. They were all leather on a 575M.

Here is a pair in Crema in a 575M, 133739. This car has a Cuoio interior with Crema seats and rear shelf. Who knows why?

Thank you all.
I will go for the full leather, the best option IMO. The red cloth will have to go..

The 2 different colors leather in the pic...? mmm strange combination.... With respect to the owner of that car, but not my cup of tea....Maybe he bought the seats later.

Jeroen- I almost bought that car in June 08 and it was ordered that way. Note the rear shelf is also Crema. Original owner just had strange tastes.

Dealer and I could not agree on trade value of my 08 Z06, and Boardwalk gave me $68.5K in trade for 135171.

133379 is for sale here in Ferrari Life, now with some 35,000 miles after coming off-lease.

I agree with your remark on the previous owners taste....
Apart from the interior it's a great looking car, though!
