Default I've sold the Lancia

I bit the bullet last Friday, put the Evo up for sale and sold it on Tuesday. As much as I love it, its only covered 500 miles in the last year so I had a long chat and came to the conclusion to cut down on my little collection, most of the Panda's and Brabus ML will be going as well. I've less and less time to look after the cars these days (some of you know the background). All being well this will hopefully free time to finally get the 308 back on the road after what feels like a lifetime of sitting in the corner.

Been feeling less a part of FL of late as no real car to contribute anything constructive.

What's the story behind the Juppy?

Looking at your website and cars - seems like you know a heck of a lot more than me and I post here

I grew up riding a Benelli and my neighbor had a Vespa 50 man did that thing take some abuse.

Wasn't a Benelli 254 by any chance. I know were there is one that the owner may well part with but I've been resisting the urge to chase after it.

Juppy is a 1987 Fiat Panda 4x4 that I restored to as close to original as I could.
A mate who took another Panda that I prepared to the US a couple of years ago, travelled 8500 miles around and met up with the owner of the Lane Museum in Tennessee. They wanted to buy the Panda but it wasn't for sale.
So to cut a very long story short when they heard that I'd done Juppy they wanted to buy him. He's the only officially imported Fiat Panda in America (and the only one there at all as far as we know), something I'm very proud of I have to admit. The Museum plan on taking him to various shows throughout America (he's already taken a few awards) and display him in the museum.

You probably recognise this place.

It's one of those place that slightly stands out ... which when I saw the picture I was wondering how much pull one would need to have their vehicle on the front lawn to be photographed.

All makes sense now

I had a Benelli 50 or 60 can't remember as I was only 10.

Perusing e-bay every so often to get one or something like it back. Owned some Triumphs BSA's and other miscellaneous bikes but all the oldies are gone.

BSA Lighting 650 was my favorite - cept for the mule like recoil on the kick start

You never know who's watching. The guys coming from Scotland tomorrow to lift the car, but it looks like it could have gone to Maranello

I received this email this morning.

Ciao Stuart,

I have discovered on your homepage the breath taking storries about your cars & what a passion you put in working on them.

I have just moved from Northamptonshire to Maranello, working now here for the Scuderia Ferrari since beginning of October after 12 years with Mercedes in F1. Becoming now an Italian of course I'm looking also since some while for an appropriate car, preferably a LANCIA Delta Integrale. Since I have found your Edizione Maranello House for sale, I have spend the last 3 evenings on your homepage (ignoring more & more the other offers in the net) and got from day to day more fazinated about your car. I really like to get in touch with you to bring this edition "back home".

Please could you let me know how we best could proceed in terms of getting to know better each other and of course also when / how to get a closer look to your nice Edizone Maranello House.

Saluti da Maranello e buon fine settimana, Jurgen XXXXXX

I know this means very little to most of you but I've followed Ferrari for 44 years and the thought of a little car I built driving through the gates to the halo'd ground would have been a bit special to me. And I would have hopefully made a friend who works for them to.

Oh well.

Nice letter, and fear not, your experiences/expertise are always welcome here, you still have tonnes to add and share in.

Congrats on getting what you wanted.
