Default Amanda Knox

I am amazed at this young woman's strength.

Man I hope this is over ... in some twisted perspective she's kinda hot.

Her first media appearance could bring in 7 figures.

I think she did it. If she gets 7 figures to to talk on TV then I'm going to Italy, I've seen almost every episode of Dexterand I'm pretty good at hiding. But seriously this is almost as bad as Casey Anthony, its insane!! Just my .02

Personally I didn't follow it that much - have a issue with court cases being tried in the media ... guilty or not guilty. Let the lawyers jury and judge do their job.

Media loves to use people especially when it's an attractive young woman.

It's one thing to send a message but pretty sure we all know that murder is illegal and tampered DNA is not evidence.

Wetpet she hasn't had any D in four years - Amanda could most likely drain a 500 gallon tank in under 30 seconds.

I think with the given evidence the jury made the right decision there just wasn't enough to convict, but I think the really terrible thing here is that an innocent woman was brutally murdered and the real killer, whoever that may be, is still out there. I cannot imagine what her parents are going through and my heart goes out to them. All we can do is pray that the killer be brought to justice.

Well, it is not really over yet. The third (and last) grade of judgment in the Italian justice system (Supreme Court) has still to start. The trial's Prosecutor already announced she is going to request it. It is not unusual to see a verdict expressed in the second grade (Appeal) to be changed in the third grade, like it was from first grade to second in the case of Knox and Sollecito.

ciao

In case the Supreme Court will change the verdict, I have no doubt Knox would never return to Italy and I am pretty much sure that even Sollecito would be able to hide abroad, but at least there will be a final verdict on this sad story. Ciao. Mauro

IF the Supreme Court overturns, what are the chances of the other two convicted?

Knox and Sollecito are together in front of the Supreme Court: the trial is the same. The third people involved, Ghede, confessed and made an agreement, so he has to remain in jail for 16 years and was not part of the Knox/Sollecito trial. Ciao. Mauro

I was wondering if this would fly here without any objections - in order to keep boosting attendance and viewing we need some other off topic discussions.

FTR - I did take place in Italy and the "Donald" asked for a boycott on Italy products

If Amanda was nikid at trial I would have posted in the - Wetpets domain!

The acquittal merely means that the evidence presented was not enough to find her guilty, it does not mean she is innocent. She knows what happened and whilst she may not have delivered the mortal blow, she was involved somewhere down the line but does not want to admit to it. Lets not forget that a young girl has been brutally murdered and will never get her life back. I cannot imagine how her parents feel. They will carry this to the grave.

I'm pretty sure that about the ONLY place in the world that is true is the US. In most places innocence not guilt needs to be proven at trail.

The prosecutor in the Knox case was known for pushing questionable cases to trail and convicted of misconduct for his efforts. He even changed Knox's father with slander. The guy is a lose cannon and crazy as a loon.

There was no evidence what so ever that could put anybody other than the 3rd defendant...the one found with the murder weapon, the victims blood on him, some of the victim's belongings and his sperm in the victim.

Was Knox involved in some way? Who knows, but there is ZERO evidence of her involvement.

And your point is?

I find the dialogue and pre- and post-suppositions and hypotheses quite interesting, esp. since FL is comprised of a global community w/varying viewpoints.

Gossip? I think not.

Maybe it belongs to/should be moved to the backroom or politics section

There are special areas for this on any site......

BUT I DO AGREE It's NOT to be in the FERRARI DISCUSSION area!!!!!!
to spin this here as a Ferrari discussion topic brings spin to a whole new level. More like 'off topic'

I was under the impression they caught a second person in the area only a few days after the girl was killed. Tried him as well and kept him in jail as well as Amanda and her boyfriend. Meaning they had 3 people in jail at one time for this crime. Later let the boyfriend go but kept her.
