Default Barry, Jack and his 360 came to visit

Barry was heading my way today and nipped round for a little visit. It was great to meet a second FLer, I met ITGuy last year.
I have to say I heard him before I seen the red car pull into the drive and wow what a lovely example it is.
I had to get a few photo's of it.

Unfortunately the 308 isn't looking its best at the moment as I'm stripping it for a new coat of paint to go on,

but the craic was excellent and I think Jack, Barrys Son enjoyed the trampoline.

It was great to meet you both and hope to meet up again at some point.

Thanks for the complement Jimmy, it is very quiet were I am. Its only noisy, in a very nice way, when people in really nice Italian cars and bikes call round for a chat. Or when the Helicopter drops into the field behind our house when visiting the people who live just down from us

Its been a little bit international here the last 2 days. First Barry came up from Dublin, then later yesterday a mate from England phoned for a "camp" as he calls it, not much after him another mate from Scotland phoned for a "natter", then today a friend who lives in Abu Dabi called round as he was home to see family. He took time out from seeing them to see how my Missus and I were and for us to meet his girlfriend from Thialand. he didn't have to go to the trouble of coming round as its well out of his way so I thought that was really nice. As did Barry I should add as I was a few miles out of his way to I love it when people turn up who I haven't seen in a long time.

That certainly is very cosmopolitan, mch more than it appears. Wonderful community, picturesque setting, with great friends and cars,...very nice indeed. w/ smiles Jimmy

Likewise, and thanks for the hospitality. For future reference to other F-Lifers, if you're in the Belfast area there's great tea and sandwiches to be had in Maranello House!

These are great stories. Will definitely need to make the trip at some point.

Well bring the F40 and I'll wash it, polish it, give you a full Ulster fry while I'm doing that, feed you lunch and dinner cause it will be the only way I'll ever have one on my drive

Seriously though, I'd be very dissapointed if an FLer was close by and if had a chance didn't nip round for a cup of hospitality. That's assuming your all passing the time of day with me as nearly every thread I subscribe to dies straight away this last while

Do I hear the world's smallest violin playing there?

If I get my act together and the RHD Boxer registered in Jersey in a month or two, I think taking the ferry to Ireland for a couple of days during the summer or autumn would be a great plan! Let's hope it comes together sometime.

That would be terrific. Only I'd have to go in the Lancia as I can't see the 308 being done until near the end of the summer.

I think it's a great idea, let's see if we can make it happen. As usual with my job I can't make any commitments anytime soon, but I'd be aiming for late July, early August.

The Evo is of course more than welcome - was the first car I drove when I got my license! Great memories.

I'm pretty tied up until mid/late July myself Onno. So perhaps a late summer short Fled in Ireland might be on the cards?
