Hello Boys just got back from L.A after a 5 day trip, went down take care of some business but for the most part to take my Lambo for a 5 day cruise before I import her back to Canada. The weather was nice not great, cool at times but that was OK I was still able to take the roof off most of the time. On Sun I was able to take her out for a 8 hour cruise up the PCH (pacific coast highway) all the way to Santa Barbara. I love this town, I must retire there streets were perfect, homes were gorgeous, Yacht club was impressive but the scenery was incredible, absolutely loved it there.Any hoo back to my thread Since I have been a member of FL for 3 years thought some of you might enjoy my pics of the new toy and my driving impression between the Lambo and Ferrari. Thanks to a friend of mine Ernie (another 348 owner) I picked up the car in Costa Mesa on Fri for my test run for 4 days, I wanted to drive it and get use to the characteristics. Let me tell you getting use to a Lambo in Los Angeles traffic is like taming a Bull in a china shop ![]() When I first laid eyes on it it's visually stunning, makes you gasp , by far this is one of the best looking exotics I have ever seen. I like the normal Diablos but the Roadster has a better stance, the upgraded sides, engine bonnet and front end make this car unique and sleek, like a spaceship landing is the only way I can describe it.Starting the Lambo is like winding up a turbine, there is this fast spinning sound till VRRRRROOOOMMMMM the engine comes to life. The clutch feels as heavy if not slightly heavier than the 348, with a Kevlar clutch it grabs hard takes some getting use to. The shifting is very easy and precise, unlike the Ferrari you can easily shift into second when cold. The power and torque on this Roadster is stupid crazy , I waited for a day to get use to the power before I put it through it's pases. 1st gear grabs hard so you definitely do not want to drop the clutch as you will either snap the axle or snap your neck. Lucky the shifting pattern on the Lambo is identical to the 348, in fact to pay tribute to the 348 I ordered a 348 chrome shift ball and installed it . When you first shift into 1st gear and start to take off the engine note is a low growl till 3000 rpm and it is gradually building speed, then like a boost from NAS it whips from 3000 to 7800rpm in 2 seconds reaching 60mph, with now the engine note sounding like the world is coming to an end. The sound is definitely not a pretty or as soothing as the Ferrari and I will definitely miss that sound but the sound is still pretty awesome.2nd and 3rd gears come and go quickly and the speed + g force is awesome, thank God for those giant rear meats for tires or this thing would shred and destroy anything else. By the time I hit 5th gear I was going well over 150mph and easily had plenty of room to go, but I refrained as I was not going to push my luck. At no point in time did I feel like I was out of control in fact it felt solid more so than the Ferrari. I will admit the Ferrari is a drivers car, easily to drive, easy to handle and comfortable to control, with no major blind spots. The Braking is superior in the Ferrari, precise and controlled. The lambo has Brembo brakes with 4 pistons but you need to stand on them to make it perform like the Ferrari, mind you it is a heavier car but still no excuse. The blind spots on the Lambo are severe, you really must know your car and driving skill when operating it, even with the large side mirrors it is daunting. Backing up without a camera is well just silly, luckily I am tall and I was able to lift myself up and look when roof was off, but when roof is on furgettaboutit doing it by yourself in a parking lot backing up into a stall. The comfort level is surprisingly great, I went for a 4 hour drive up the Pacific coast highway and the seats were wonderful, way more comfortable than the Ferrari. For prestige and sheer awe value sorry fellows but the Lambo blows away the Ferrari, I was getting more attention in the middle of Rodeo DR and Beverly hills with this machine than I ever received with the Ferrari in a small town all year long. At one point I even had a guy come up and lick the car, seriously he licked the car ![]() ![]() Not that one buys a car simply for this reason but let me tell you it is sure nice to receive many thumbs up Overall the Lambo is just awesome, what you give up in sound and visibility you make up in sheer power and speed. The overall looks are intense, the style is pure sex and speed, nothing will make a person react or act out like when someone lays there eyes on a Lambo Roadster. This thing is insanely fast, I thought my Ferrari spider was fast this thing is just SICK Here are some pics of the trip.

Congratulations, Nightlife. I am speechless. Beautiful Lambo Roadster, indeed. Let me tell you there's a bunch of Lambo diehard lovers here in Japan and they seem very happy. Looking forward to your reports. w/ smiles Jimmy

Awesome car. Here, Wetpet had one and Arjun has the fixed roof. I've taken the same drive up and down PCH many many times myself. Santa Barbara is fantastic as you say (dolphin fountain, pier, homes etc.) Did you take the 17 Mile drive in Monterey? Looks like you had a great time!

can't really add anything to that. It's all true. the bit about it looking like a spaceship has landed really nails what the pictures cant. specially when you park it between two "normal" cars. when you come back out from dinner, it will still shock you. never got tired of looking at that ass end. my car now resides in malibu, if you see it say hi for me. Enjoy the car, it's a show stopper wherever it goes and still one of the fastest to 60 and highest top speed even 15 years on. Hard to find that much supercar, and it is a supercar unlike the 348, for that kind of money..

| Amazing machine Roberto…… I always had a thing for Lambo’s as well, and that is a SWEEEETTT RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m kind of sad that you left the 348 Brotherhood…..but you should have seen my smile…well more like huge grin when I read “to pay tribute to the 348 I ordered a 348 chrome shift ball and installed it” I have two questions…..for such a wild car…why grey? Oooh yes!! I'm very curious about your coming write ups. I have realized from wetpet's photos that Lambos tend to attract women very well. It's always interesting to hear about Lambos from someone who also knows and appreciates Ferraris. Lambos are cool rides, enjoy! actually they only attract young boys. At least that is why i lent it to al all the time. I pretty much had to pay all those girls you see me with..... But that may have to do with my age and physical appearance, not the car. I will say that woman do seem to be more attracted to the lambo than the ferrari. everyone is. If you really want to attract woman from 8-80, get a cinquecento!!! biggest ----- magnet i have ever seen. Better than a puppy or a baby, no kidding....

In my little village of Bre (350 inhabitants, 9km from Lugano centre) people have eventually accepted me and my passion for cars so their eyebrows are slowly coming down to normal height. This old livestock farming village dates back 2.000 years and everything more than one tractor, one mule and one car is considered exaggarated. ![]() Lugano indeed is a great little town of 51.000 inhabitants. It is just enough in size for my taste and if you need a big city, Milan centre is just 70km away. There is a frequent commuter train which is quite practical for daily errands to Milan but all you need is to be found here in Lugano really. Lugano is all inside Switzerland but Lake Lugano stretches into Italy to the east and to the west. The train station signs are normally in three languages throughout Switzerland (German, French and Italian) except the Reto-Roman speaking parts where it is also in Reto-Roman (Rumanch). Those are the four national languages spoken in Switzerland. In percentage of importance they rank: German 63%, French 21%, Italian 6% and Rumanch 0,5%. The rest are various languages spoken by immigrants like myself. I have a feeling some day soon you will be driving here in Europe on a FLED and then you are welcome to come an check out this part of the Alps. Sorry for deviating from the thread but just to content Jimmy's curiosity on Lugano, here a some pictures: My village Bre seen from my loft window and below Lake Lugano. Lugano town is down and to the right (out of picture). Next picture shows the only car road through Bre, it is only for residents. The rest of the "roads" are narrow cobble stone passages in between the houses. Thank You for the intro and corrections too, Capo. It does seem to be quite charming indeed. There are many programs on TV that features overseas with themes like trainrides, walking streets, gastronomy, and so forth. The program that I mentioned before did actually showed the hotel (Hotel Lugano ?) too. Thanx again. w/ smiles Jimmy

![]() The car is a 97.5 to be exact, they changed a few things from the 97 to 97.5 mostly the dual airbags. As far as the shifter I had to change it, the original never suited the car, it was like a rice rocket shifter YUK! plus it was way to tall lol, now it looks much better here is the best pic I have of it. and more pics of my trip.

Congrats! When I was in Toronto recently, I remember Alex at Daytona Auto saying lots of these cars are coming across the border with the favorable exchange rate and market conditions. Glad to see it finding a good owner.

Congrats again Roberto! Did you get a sound clip going thru that tunnel? Some of those pics remind me of the okanagan in the summer too, minus the palm trees. Capo nice pics too. I'm afraid his Lambo would get stuck between that staircase and the wall! lol Must be pretty scary driving down those roads. Cheers |
