Default Dino head light shading

Dear All,
Just joined the forum and need a little help.
I have a Right Hand Drive 1973 Dino 246GT. I am intending to go to Classic Le Mans in July and want to shade my lights properly to prevent dazzle to oncoming traffic. Unfortunately the shade kits do not include a graphic of my lights. The lights fitted are what I believe to be the original Carello light units (photo attached - I hope!). Does anyone have any ideas?

By shade do you mean yellow? If that's the case seems like you could just pop in another set of lights with the effect you are looking for and that way you aren't messing with the OE Carellos.

Jack- Welcome to Ferrari Life. I assume your car is RHD and you are worried about the lights dipping to the left instead of the right?

Jack, welcome to FL

There was a time when you were supposed to shade your lights yellow when driving in France. As far as I know there is no requirement for that now. You can buy "stickers" for the headlights to prevent the main beam pointing left when driving on the right.

Also, don't forget you high viz vest, which is mandatory in France.

Barry- What is a high viz vest? Is that something like the German requirement for a reflector triangle and a medical kit?

Thanks to All.
Tazandejan / Barry are up to speed on this. As this is a RHD car the lights as set glare on coming traffic. Motor factors sell blanking tape to stick on the lenses but I don't know what shape to use and where to stick it... as it were!!
I am aware of the requirements for Hi Viz vests in France. Not sure why we don't all just walk round in these wretched things 24/7. I also have my bulb kit, fire extinguisher, first aid kit...and a small bundle of Euros but those won't be worth much soon!!

Sorry to be boring about this but I rather like the idea of having a set of yellow LHD lights. Any views as to where they can be obtained?

Jack.

Why not just swap out your headlamps for a set of US spec lamps.

Wagner's are still available for not much money, and it's not hard to do the swap. Just a few screws as I recall.

I don't recall exactly, but there's a modern set of Phillips that work to, the old Westinghouse code was 4024 or 4244 I think.

I may have a set buried in the garage, I can take a look if you're interested.

Jack, welcome to FL,
Living and driving in France, I would just point out that yellow lights are no longer required in France since 1996, when France aligned to European norms on motor cars. You see very few cars with yellow lights now, since most, even the old cars, have been swopped out to white bulbs. Having driven with both, I prefer the white. At the same power the white gives better lighting of the road.
On the yellow high visibility jackets, they must be accessible without getting out of the car i.e. not in the boot/trunk or under the bonnet/hood and you must have one for each seat in the car.
