Default 246GT in Japan.

Hello everybody. I think that this 246GT (#01212) is today in Japan. The modifications were done in Germany in the late 70's. Is there someone who has more informations or photos? Thank you.

Hello N72727. Welcome to Ferrari Life. Are you an ex owner of the dino?

I'm sure Jimmy will be along shortly, maybe he knows the whereabouts of 01212 if it is in Japan.

I never owned that modified Dino. I try just to identify some cars for my personal archive. The Dino Register helps much. I bought my 246 GT in 1982 and still have it. Maybe I'll restore the car in a near future.

First of all, welcome to FL, N7272.

That is a nice photo of a modified Dino. Unfortunately, I have no infos on this one. Dinos are quite popular here in Japan and substantial percentage of 206 and 246s have entered during the bubble period in '80s.

It is very difficult to obtain informations since people here do not have the culture to divulge such datas. Even most of the dealers and brokers who buy/sell Ferraris rarely advertise such datas. Last year, an owner from the US asked me to find details on this special 250 GTE. After making several calls, I finally got to talk to the present owner, but he did not give me the infos. Such is this place.

Nevertheless, if you wish, I can give it a try. w/ smiles Jimmy

Thank you for trying Jimmy. Now, I'm not sure if the car is in Japan. Maybe it's still in Germany. Here's another photo with the same Dino before the modifications. At this time the owner was Günther Netzer, a famous and well know German football player.
