So I see, John's Dino has travelled far from Santa Barbara, CA. to France. I have followed his classic thread for a year or so prior to his passing. Thanx for letting us know. I understand the car did not find a new onwer for many months. w/ smiles Jimmy

I've been on a few drives with John Corbani, so when some friends were interested in buying it I was enthusiastic. We travelled to Santa Barbara on July 25, 2009 to see it, here are a few photos from that trip. For those that might not know, this is teh highest mileage Dino known to the 246 group; over 195,000 miles but the speedo has been broken for what John told me was over 6,000 miles. Thanx for the pics. Yes, John C.'s pride and joy. He was an amazing individual who was so unselfish and no nonsense. A true engineer who could solve problems and had answers. RIP. Let's hope his Dino finds a good home. w/ smiles Jimmy

Originally, when Corbani's Dino was up for sale, I thought it would be snapped away in seconds. Surprisingly, it did not move for months. I believe the asking price was like 99K. very reasonable IMO. Probably, in my opinion, the American market is too keen on originality and mileage issues. Corbani was a true gearhead and did virtually all maintenance and improvements on his own. This sheds a light on the difference between the two markets on the opposite of Atlantic. w/ smiles Jimmy
