We are pleased to offer 1972 Ferrari 246 GTS s/n 04770, a Platinum scoring Euro model 246 GTS with only 49,557 kms or just 30,725 miles. Imported new by Chinetti and with a well documented ownership history from the day it entered the US in 1972. One owner from 1972 to 2001, so 29 years. This Euro model 246 GTS offers the low maintenance of a well-proven V6, the soft and sensual lines of the Dino and the sounds of the high-revving V6 that makes every trip to the grocery store sound like a qualifying lap at Sebring. Mechanically maintained and detailed, this Ferrari needs nothing. A cosmetically and mechanically superb Ferrari that is nicely detailed and priced right at $149,500.

New in Fly Yellow with black leather and power windows. Still in Fly Yellow with black leather today. Stripped to bare metal and repainted plus new leather on the seats and door panels in 2003-2004. Shown at the Reading Ferrari Concours d'Elegance, scoring Platinum in 2004 and 2005. Very nicely detailed paint and body fit, with all rubber, trim and controls detailed to show standards. The engine bay is beautifully detailed above and below and the engine and transmission assembly are extremely dry. The original "mouse fur" dash material is in very good condition.

A Euro model, 246 GTS s/n 04770 is not plagued with the indignities of US model headers, mufflers, air-pump and tubing. As a Euro production 246 it is also equipped with the subtle Euro model front and rear bumpers, the smaller and more attractive side marker lights and flush-to-the-body-line front marker lights, all of which are in excellent condition. 246 GTS s/n 04770 is fitted with very attractive covered headlights and all new Michelin XWX tires. Comes with an owner's manual and the original jack.

The engine makes excellent power with no smoke. The transmission shifts smoothly with very good second gear syncro when warm. The clutch has an unusually light operation, and the brakes are spot on.
