Default Tyres

Hi All, my first post on here.
I have had a 458 coupe now for nearly a full year and close to 10,000 klm i have driven her.
Its time for new tyres as the current ones are getting close to their life end.
She is used on on road and has the factory standard michelin, but i have always been a pirelli buyer in the past, any experiences out there?
Thanks

Paul- Welcome to Ferrari Life. In general the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports are the best tires available for high performance cars and were standard on the 599 GTO. The new Pirelli P Zeros are just a step below them in performance and wear. Given my choice, I would go with the PSS tires unless you can get the P Zeros for considerably less money. Incidentally, I am running the old P Zero Rossos on my car, but intend to change to the PSS tires at the next tire change.

How about some photos of your 458?

Yes I think they will be replaced with just the same.
Unless anyone else has better experience?
Pictures to follow.

Michelin

Pirelli's need to be properly warmed up and are iffy at best in the rain.

Michelin, actually the 458's performance was improved once they started offering the Pilot Super Sports. Do not switch back to P Zero Corsa's.

Paul- Vey nice and quite a fleet. The color is not really suitable for here in New Mexico unless you want to fry eggs on the paint, but very attractive.

Another Swiss member welcome Paul. Eyes closed on the Michelin PSS tires Our resident pro Brian would never advice to go for the Pirelli tires...

Must admit here in the south of France on a hot day it also get a little too hot.
I promised myself a different colour for the FF and wanted a TDF cream car, but went for black again, but with a great quilted red and black interior and full carbon kit, pictures on collection in two weeks.
The wife's california is also black on black. but in the shop right now as she had her keys stolen when she was mugged in sunny Cannes!

Paul- I am with you on color. Once you find one you like, stick with it. I lean more towards reds and yellows because I am too lazy for black cars, which need really frequent washing.
