Default optioning my spider, the only things that are new .....

here :

Grigio Ferro Metallic painted forged rim RIFS new
Carbon fibre rear bumper moulding GRDC new
Outer carbon fibre B-pillars trim CERF new
Sport exhaust pipes EXA3 new

i dont wanna show all the options and price lists, pretty sure y'all have a heart attack.
the only thing that was a pleasant surprise was the base price, it actually looks reasonable.

and the MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT was something that i noticed from the very get go, the LACK of 4pt. race belts!!!!!!! WHY FERRARI, WHY???!!!!!!!??????!!!!! This is the one option I love about ferraris!!!!! WHYYYYYY?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had them in all my previous ferraris, WHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!
OK, im venting now, so i can get it out of my system. WHY?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now im no different than people in the states!!!! WHY???!!!! atleast i dont get strange looking reflecters.
WHY???!!!!
Ok, gonna calm down....................

this is really xxcked up, i dont need no space behind the seats, i dont go play golf in my ferrari!! who ever spec these cars at the factory better bring this back!! ASAP!! before i can get my spec in!!!

im too lazy to post all my beautiful belts, but here is an idea....

when u know it can look this good, its like somebody robbed u from looking cool!

Fabspeed has a solution for the 458. So no worries.

Given Ferrari's current focus on customization, I am sure you can special order race seats with 4 point belts.

If they can do denim trim, I am sure they can plunk a pair of sparco race seats in for you.

I'm not sure. You can't get the harnass in combination with the JBL hifi either in the 458 Italia (because the speakers in the bulkhead are in the way).

I could imagine that because of the additional space behind the seats, there is no attachment point provided for the 4-seat harnass.

It is likely, however, that Ferrari will fix this for the future as many owners will be disappointed, and if they do a "458 16M" they will need to do it anyway.

I won't, I had that one already when I spec'd my Italia.

They would have already had to come up with a solution for the 458 Challenge cars so just need to adapt that for the road cars.

I'm not following that, Boxer. The bulkhead in the spider is further away from the seats than either Challenge or Italia, so the Spider needs a new solution as far as I can see.

Yes, that's right.
Dealer is saying that back piece don't have holes predrilled so no 4pt belts. Dealer already requested it, and factory said no, and added 430 spiders never had it too! 16Ms also didn't right??!
Anyway I double requested 4 pt belts on my order sheet, let see what happens.
Zanasi might do something about it but I don't wanna pay 30k for something that was 5k.

Good question, I assumed they had them but checking several for sale on the internet, none of them have the 4-point belts, so presumably no F430 spider ever had them.

I have certainly see racing buckets in a 430 Spider but not sure if it had 4 point belts.

Yes but it really is just a matter of putting the mounting holes in the bulkhead. If they have done it for the two others, should not be that hard to figure out how to do it for the 458 Spider.

When I enquired about harnesses for my 16M as a retrofit I was told they aren't fitted due to the safety issues caused in a roll over situation and the high possibility of spinal damage/broken neck - don't ask me quite what this means but that was the response. It wasn't ever an option for 430 spider or 16M to have harnesses.

Surely it can be done. Whether they will? History seems to tell us that they won't, but let's hope for the best. Personally, I just HAD to order them on the Italia, they are annoying but just look so darn good! Beauty before comfort.
