Can you give us some subtitles for the unfathomable graph?

Many thanks,

Onno

Onno,

Y axis is pressure in milli-bars. X axis is mass flow of air in Kg per hour.

Subtext says the static test of the BMC filter causes negligible flow loss, while the original filter results in 2 milli-bars less pressure than the BMC at a particular flow rate.

Interesting (to those of us who are Aerospace Engineers), but absolutely meaningless from an automotive standpoint.

A better message might be: Buy this and your car will look faster.

I'll be back 10-13 Nov. After that, next trip "home" won't be until mid January.

BMC does Dyno test their system and they do work. The sheet show that the box does improve air flow. This system is used on the 458 lemans cars.
Thanks
Alex.

BMC is a very credible company and I can attest to the efficiency of their air filters.

I can't comment on this air box since I have no experience with it. However, they are generally conservative in their assessments. The explanation on their graph confuses me, because it mentions the same situation 2X's but with different results!

The comments below the graph read as follows:

"The BMC filter test mode due to static pressure drop is negligible, while the original is negligible it generates a pressure drop of about 2 mbar @ 600kh / n"

Does not tell us a great deal!

I would say there may be credibility with this product but we just don't know enough.

However, BMC does make Ferrari's F1 racing filters! So if they came to positive results with this air box it was not through guessing.
