I think the post below the video clears things up.

Early 2012 there is a planned launch of a special livery 599 (not GTO) celebrating 60 years of F1 victories (599 60 F1). According to The exterior is inspired by the 2011 Alonso F1, plus grid from the Gonzales F1 car, with forged FF wheels. Red with the current F1 Scuderia logo on the roof and both back quarter panels, plus some white finishing to mimic the 2011 F1 white trim. The idea seems to have been somewhat inspired by the Country Lab work on the F10 edition.

Rumours: Ferrari 599 Alonso Edition and 599 Replacement
I heard an interesting new twist on this yesterday. Latest version is that in early 2012 Ferrari will produce 40 ultra special 599 GTOs called the Alonso edition, 40 very special 599 GTO called the Massa edition (will be required to move over should an Alonso edition wish to pass) and 40 semi Special 599 GTOs called the Fisichella (OK, I made the last one up). Net net, there will be three tiers of special edition 599 GTOs as they run out the model.

Interesting ... spoke with a gent pretty close to the factory few days ago and forgot to share.

40 of an Alonso - 95% HGTE 599 - adding some type of Livery stripe etc.

At Ferrari 40 = whatever they have enough parts to make.

I think this one is pretty accurate as it was confirmed at a dealers / build sheet.

Dealers had to take them but could not spec them.

Then again ... who knows

It sounds like Ferrari has been studying Pagani's playbook on special editions for enhanced profitability.

Update ...

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of their first Formula 1 victory, Ferrari will launch a special edition 599 GTB Fiorano.
Dubbed the 60F1, the model is based on the 599 with HGTE package. It will be available in three liveries which mimic the cars driven by Fernando Alonso and Froilan Gonzalez (who won the 1951 British Grand Prix). Besides the special paint, the cars will feature Scuderia Ferrari shields, an aluminum fuel cover and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin has Alcantara upholstery, Alutex trim and a commemorative plaque with the signatures of Gonzalez and Alonso. The coupe also has Sabelt / Recaro seats with a three- or four-point safety harnesses.

So Chicago offering you a free pick up on the 612 for service and it somehow mutates to one of these when it returns?

Just gone though this thread and when you look at the new f12, you can see what the sales man may of being explain given what he was shown prior to official release.

Between the image you were sent and an 8c , I don't think the f12 is that far away. Sounds like the sales man might be a new found friend.

Could not agree more!

We lost our service center recently and Chicago has two dealers fighting for the local customer base.

This dealer in particular has shared great information in hopes to solidify some relationships.

It's refreshing to see Ferrari dealers building bridges vs blowing them up.
