In terms of the original question, have seen a few BBs coming up for auction recently. reserve prices seem to be down Euro 10-20k vs last year. Not sure if this is due to condition on individual cars or if prices have dropped slightly.

A friend completed a purchase of a very nice BB512i in great condition, where it had just completed the major servicing before sale and has all books/tools for USD$100k

In the UK/Europe £50000 GBP or €75000 should be enough to get a good 512 BB.
The Boxer's predecessor, the Daytona's now have prices upwards of £150K GBP, does anyone feel that it's only a matter of time before Boxer's values start to creep up and catch the earlier 12 cylinder cars?
Or are they best avoided, and should one consider the TR/512TR/512M or 550 as a better longer term investment and cheaper car to maintain?
I might add, that driver enjoyment, fulfilling a childhood dream and not investment potential is my primary goal, but at the same time I don't want to spend money keeping a car on the road (and probably a lot ) and not see it appreciate in value.
I've own a TR and currently own a BB512i. The Boxer is much more reliable and less expensive to maintain than a TR. But, never buy a Ferrari as an investment. Buy it to drive. Otherwise, you are missing the point of owning one.

Lovely 365BB and very well sold at well over the estimate. Guess there were several determined buyers in the hall that day.

Wonderful photos. Not familiar with that windshield wiper configuration (large main, small off-set) but I guess I never paid close enough attention. Assuming the triple pipes are not spec?

The details you mentioned are specs, colonel1961, including triple tailpipes and triple lights. These
are some of the distinguishing differences unique to 365 BB versus 512s. w/ smiles Jimmy

PS. Made an error and uploaded one pic (4th pic) that showed detailed hood of latter 365 BB model. Sorry.

I went back this morning and checked a few market prices on BBs and Dinos. Interestly, BBs are now at basically the same level, at least in the UK.
