512 bb glovebox ???

hello all

does anyone have a suggestion for a glovebox that wont open?
I think its electrical and operated by a pushbutton.
I f I bang on it it will open but its a pain

My 78 BB has a key lock all most like one on my 77 308, it "usetoo" open with the door key. Haven't been able to open eather for years, I thant one of the spring in the lock has broken.

i found that it opens when the power is on--but it just sticks.

my 79 bb has the pushbutton only for the box---was the keylock and option??? probably one of the few options--
