My Boxer has the original oval L/R rear view mirrors. They look great but are pretty useless. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve the sightlines ? Boxer 42

Drive faster and don't worry what about what is behind you!! Seriously though, I have the same problem with my 365bb but have decided form is better than function in this case

How about sticking one of those round convex mirrors onto the existing mirror face, like many trucks & towing vehicles do? Provided the mirror unit is located where you can see it this will give you a much wider field of view, and won't change any aesthetics on the Boxer.

The best sideview mirror system will always be the "chin to shoulder" you have as stock equipment.

Only problem is that on some mid-engine cars it can be like looking through a tiny letterbox slot! | |

I have added a small pair of fish eye lens to each mirror. They do help a bit but not optimal. Chin to shoulder is mandatory, even with, the rear pillars make for an interesting blind spot.
