Default Boxer Engine Rebuild

I wanted to post the photos of my rebuild in 2011.

It is all new, including the cams, piston valve spring, valves etc.

The interior is almost ready.

Later this year is will back to the original color of Silver and Black.

Nice job. Looks like Rock's place in the back ground. If he did the engine work . Good job rock.

Looks great and I love yellow Ferraris. Were you thinking of repainting this one, I seem to remember? Personally, I like her the way she is, even including the wheels.

If you are a long term hard core Ferrari owner enthusiast, you really need to own a BB at least once.

This thread should have an age restriction.
Some nice detailing there.

That's beautiful! Is that Giallo Fly? Looks great in yellow but any color will be great I'm sure.

The fresh Boxer Engine looks sensational - congratulations. Lots of very nice details in the engine bay. They are a stunning looking car can't believe how under appreciated they are. Might be time to get a second one - just kidding. Can I ask what is the make of the exhaust system - it looks very nice. Also do you mind sharing the year and Serial Number of the your car - it looks like it might be very close to the same build as mine (1979 SN 29897 also Silver but all Silver). Thanks for sharing.

Very nice - thanks for the info. Your car looks to be very similar to mine in overall spec. Nathan Beehl's book lists your car as 1978 and Giallo Fly with Nero interior. Interesting I assumed that the book listed the original colour - it seems it lists the "current" (when the book was published) colour. The book great but is not always accurate - it lists my car as a LHD when it was RHD from new.

Your car looks fantastic in Yellow - however I must say that Silver is a particularly flattering colour on a Boxer. It looks especially good with the white front indicator lenses (like yours).

Good luck with the car - the engine bay is a great credit to you. Well done!
