Looks like they have removed the BOX 365 registration.

Fantastic timeless design. Those fat tires look perfect on the car. Great interior. A fine example!

Those look to be the same tyres that I had on the car back in 2006.

What was the mileage when you sold it, Boxer? I have a feeling this car has done very few miles since the good old days in your care.

So that would be about the same mileage it has now, confirming my suspicion.

It also seems this BB has changed hands/been advertised a number of times since leaving Boxer's care.

It sat for sale with Legends for at least 2 years.

Mileage was 39,700 when I sold it to make way for the F40. Looks like it has only done 300-500 miles in the last 5 years.

Here is the 2006 auction write up:

Lot Details

Lot No: 235

The ex-London Motor Show
1975 Ferrari 365GT/4 Berlinetta Boxer
Registration no. BOX 365
Chassis no. 18685
Engine no. 367

This, the 1975 London Motor Show car, was originally finished in Rosso Cordoba metallizzato (106-R-7) with Beige (VM 3234) hide, while fitted options include an Autovox radio/cassette and 9” rear wheels. Chassis number ‘18685’ would appear to be the 372nd of the 387 cars built, or the 15th from last completed. It is believed to have sold by Maranello Concessionaires on 10th December 1975 to Mr John MacDonald of Haslingden, Rossendale, Lancashire and registered ‘KVF 826P’, a Cambridgeshire mark.
The car was subsequently purchased by J F Ward of Henley-on-Thames on 12th October 1987. It was during Mr Ward’s ownership that it was totally stripped and repainted in Rosso Chiaro over nero, with much mechanical detailing to the engine, suspension, brakes, etc, while Mike Presgrave of Moto Trim re-trimmed the interior in beige (VM 3234) hide with nero Daytona-style inserts and Moro carpets.
‘18685’ was purchased by next owner Mr Fraser Mills of Edinburgh in September 1991. Mr David McCarthy of Surrey purchased the car in 1995 from Longstone Motor Company of Edinburgh (acting on behalf of Mr Mills) part-exchanging a Porsche 928. Whilst in Mr McCarthy’s ownership, the car was annually maintained by Maranello and in recent years by Graypaul, who serviced it in July 2003. New cam belts were fitted in November 2003 by Talacrest while Graypaul carried out another annual service in September 2004. The current owner purchased the car from Mr McCarthy in July 2005. The last full service, including new cam belts and water pump overhaul, was completed by Beacon Mill Garage in October 2005. The current recorded mileage is 39,700 miles.
In June 1998, this car featured on the front cover and extensively within Classic & Sports Car magazine, in an article written by Steve Cropley, and also featured on the front cover and within Auto Italia magazine (February 2003 edition). Offered with its most appropriate and valuable registration mark ‘BOX 365’, this well cared-for Berlinetta Boxer comes with a full and comprehensive history of invoices dating back to 1977, MoTs covering the last 11 years of ownership, current road fund licence, Swansea V5 registration document and fresh MoT.

What a shame that such a wonderful car gets driven so little, I do that every month in mine :-) Is the BB a car that you would avoid driving for any reason Boxer?

Not at all. The 365BB is a great car to drive. Only thing you should avoid doing is letting them sit.

For reasons that are a bit hard to explain, Boxers seem to be the least driven of all Ferraris. I think it has a lot to do with the commitment they require. As Boxer mentioned, you shouldn't let them sit. If, for whatever reason, they sit for a while, then they can be a bit temperamental. And if a car takes a bit of fiddling to get going, then it is all too easy not to drive them at all ("shall we take the Ferrari out for a drive? Oh, it's probably not going to start, let's just leave it. Too much hassle").

If, on the other hand, you drive it 'round the block or further once a month, Boxers should be just as reliable as 308s.

Bit of a'catch 22' isn't it... If you don't drive it often, youre less likely to drive it at all.

Rule of thumb seems to be that every Ferrari benefits from a regular work out.

Which clearly points to my personal believe that someone should not own to many Ferraris (cars) at one time as one of the divisors stays at 24hours per day

If you're not married, you can certainly own more than if you are.

Marriage is probably a secular reason whereas "work" is a primary (as always seen while organising a "Fled" tour)

Well I do find it a lot easier to take the car for a drive than it is to commit to 5 days of holiday. But let's hope I'll be able to next time, because I love FLED.

Completely agree, Onno, here's hoping we can both make it on the next FLED where we truly live the FerrariLife driving our superb machines in great company in beautiful Europe.

Enjoy FLED 5 (or is it 4?) gentlemen, please post pics and reports, drive in health happiness and safety and hope we all meet up on FLED 6/5.
