Hello to your all! I have recently becomed the lucky owner of a 1974 Ferrari 365 BB. The car is very original but at some point the front spoiler/vallance has been changed to the (less beautiful) spoiler of the 512 BB. Does anybody know from where I can get the spoiler/valance from the 365 BB, so it can be brought back to the original beautiful lines? - I have asked Eurospares but they couldn´t help me. Also I have attached a few photos of the pretty lady (together with my other pretty ladies! )By the way Onno I love to read about your exciting restoration project! Best wishes from Denmark ABO Last edited by abo78; 01-23-2010 at 12:30 PM. Reason: mistyping.... (again) |

Unfortunately they are near impossible to find. Your best bet is either to have one custom fabricated, or contact Ferrari Classiche and see if they can supply one.

Your BB looks amazing, ABO, and great to see your Lambo again after the pics you sent me. Regarding the valance, unfortunately I don't have any better news either and I can't give any better tips than Boxer. If it was my car, I would have one made new by Auto Classica Rubbio or specialist with similar bodyshop talents, because I think the 365 is infinitely more beautiful without the spoiler. It's not going to be cheap, I would think, but I can talk to them and find out. The good thing for you, if you want to go this route, is that these guys (ACR) are going to be restoring my Boxer between April and October and they will therefore have an original front valance in the shop that they can copy. So perhaps it is worth pursuing this route - email me if you want me to find out more. Here is a couple of pics to show you what you're missing! ![]() Onno | |

Before you decide to change it back, how are you going to use the 365BB? If a lot of track and high speed road driving (autobahn) then I would leave it as is. Many early 365BB owners switched to the 512BB front spoiler to reduce front end lift and keep the car planted on the road. Without it, the 365BB front end gets very uncomfortably light north of 120 mph.

That is a good point although I would say it only really becomes a problem above 145mph. Onno |

Thanks for all your good answers! I will first try to contact Ferrari Classiche and see if I am lucky (but I guess not). Otherwise I will take the speed/stability consideration into account and instead enjoy the stability at high speeds! Once agian thany you! |

Why dont you ask Onno if you can make a mould from his valence while the resto is in progress. I have worked with a lot of fibreglass cars and it is not difficult to do or expensive. I have tended to use boat builders as they do better work and charge a lot less. The advantage is that once you have mould you or any 365 owner can make replacements if they need to. Just a thought!
