Default 1982 512 BB On Offer

On offer from Mike Sheehan...

We are pleased to offer 1981 Ferrari 512 BB s/n 37235. This 512 BB has been fastidiously well maintained and is well documented from the date first sold. It is in Euro-spec as Enzo intended and does not have the usual ugly Federalized bumpers, side marker lights, and power killing catalysts and smog equipment. The headers and exhaust have never been cut up or altered. Considerably faster than a Daytona at 1/2 the price and so priced right at $119,500 including a fresh engine-out service by John Hajduk, Motorkraft.

Finished in superb original Rossa Corsa paint, without the usual black "Boxer bottom". Has an extremely nice black leather interior with the delivery plastics still on the sills. The dash is "as-new" without the shrinkage so common on most Boxers. Has the attractive and desirable 9" rear "Boxer" wheels with as-new Goodyear Eagle tires.

This unusually nice 512 BB has had only three American owners from new. Sold new in June, 1981, by Pozzi, the French Ferrari importer, to Preston Henn, owner of the well know south Florida Swap Shop and a Le Mans 24 hour winning IMSA GTP driver. In 1984 to Al Young, Zionsville Indiana for eighteen years and then in 2002 to the current owner in Michigan for the last eight years. This pampered Boxer has always been extremely well maintained and detailed and features a highly detailed engine compartment. It is currently being fully serviced by John Hajduk at Motorkraft and needs nothing. Complete with all tools and their briefcase, the owner's manual, the parts book, the warranty book and warranty card and the leather carrying pouch, an original 512 BB sales brochure and the correct thin spare. Complete down to the original Pioneer radio. Only 25,190km (15,652 miles) from new.

The carbureted Boxers are much faster than the injected Boxers, and with only 929 carbureted BBs built, the carbureted Boxers have always been more desirable. This car is fully documented from new, exceptionally nice, needs absolutely no excuses made and will not disappoint. We welcome a detailed pre-purchase inspection.

Looks like the asking price of $119k has hooked a buyer.
It is listed as Sold
