Hey guys, I'm currently looking at an 82 mondial, and the only problem (as per the seller) is that 2nd gear is hard to engage until the gearbox has warmed up, is this typical of these cars? Ed Honey, it's a good invesment! |

Nope..not typical of Mondials...Typical of all Ferrari's. Play it up..Maybe you can get the price reduced.

+1 Don't worry about this so much... this is a signature trait of the 308 and Mondial series. If you want, you can switch the gear oil to Redline synthetic gear oil and that will help allow 2nd gear engagement when the oil is cold. |

x2 of everything said above. No worries on this, its one of the quirks of these cars and over time you grow to like it because it adds personality.
