Are you missing the Owner's manual? If missing you can go to ferraridatabase.com and download one. Starting on page 49 of year 88 [applies to your year] it mentions the filters and that possibly there are two. Exact location is in the diagrams [pg 51 items 12 -- 9 boxes] I would imagine unscrewing #12's and see inside for filters, then possibly if not there onto #9.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes I have the Owners Manual, that how I found out it had cabin filters. My manual says they are in the radiators (9) of the air heating system, which is burried under a lot of equipment. Looking along the air flow I see a cover plate above fans & light lifting mechinisim. I was going to try those first then I found this website and though someone who has replaced or clean them knows how to get to them. Steve

Actually, SOMEONE here does, and they are being remiss in response

wait a bit, and this'll bump up to the top again.

I took off the panel in the engine compartment just in back of headlights and it has good access to the electric fan that supplies us humans, but no filter. Last weekend I took off the front left wheel and there is a cover plate in the wheel well right side (driver side of well. That provides good access to the individual radiator that serves the driver with warm air. It is a black retangular box with two water hoses and two passenger air flex hoses. No filter found. I no longer think it has a cabin filter, just my misunderstanding of Italian translation in owners manual.
