Default Mondial Speedo Sensor

A work colleague owns a 1984 Mondial QV.

The speedo is faulty, it doesn't read the correct speed and after a while stops working altogether. He would like to know where the sender/sensor is located, does anyone know please as his workshop manual appears not to contain this information.

Thanks

Jeff

I have a picture of the unit on my GT4 to use as an example, but the Mondial's is mounted differently. It's located in the area, mounted on the end of the gear-shafts cover plate, on the bottom. Can't miss it.

P.S. The body may be different in shape and size as well. Irregardless, if it has a wire emanating from it, its the one.

It's been a while since I looked at the photo and my Mondial manual. It's mounted to the same cover plate, but instead of the GT4's top-mount, its on the bottom. Simple.
