Default My 365GTC/4

Hi guys

After spending some time looking for a 550, I came to my senses and was seduced by the sound a feel of a carby car Picked it up yesterday and spent some time getting acqainted over the weekend. Very easy to drive compared to the 365bb and 246 i had previously and has a very modern feel about it. Lovely sound especially at high rpms Still a few things to do with it, seems a bit flat between 2000-3000rpm (not sure what that is about yet) and I think the carbs have been set too rich. Anyway here are some pics

Very nice choice, indeed. The car looks well kept, especially the engine room looks immaculate. Let us hear your reports and comments. Congrats. w/ smiles Jimmy

Good on you mate!!

That model looks nicer and nicer every year. A good run on the dyno to synchronize the Webers under load, confirming jets and needles and she'll fly! If she's been running rich you might want to change the oil as well (I love carburettor engines and can't help telling you things you already know...).

If it is not too much to ask; could I please ask for a picture from the front with the lights up? I have never seen them with the headlights on before. Do you know how it handles compared with a Daytona?

Btw, are you in Sydney?

Again, congrats, she is great!!

Also with only 500 built, quite a rare Ferrari.

Even rarer when you consider only 41RHD cars were built

Congratulations!
Lovely example

Have you seen the register doesn't have the chassis/Engine number?
http://www.365gtc4.com/Registry/Regi...serialno=15709

PS - the photo in the register is labelled 15705 not 15709 - strange?

Thanks, I have seen the register and need to update the car's details. The photo listed under 15709 is not my car(it is a LHD car) so I will have that corrected

thanks, I'll try to get some pics with the lights up next weekend

I've not driven a Daytona so can't tell you how the handling compares, although I can definitely say it is not truck like

Yep I live in the greatest city of them all, Sydney

Excellent!

Sydney is one of my favourite cities. It is one of the few really big cities where people are friendly like in a small town. My sister lives in Manly and I try to go there once a year. The owner of the café where I take my aperitivo drives a silver Dino GTS, exactly the same colour combination as my Dino. Perhaps you have seen that car around?

Great car, this are really an under appreciated car. In regards to the carbs, the most comon issue is that the throttle shaft bearings lose their seal and the carbs start to pull air in through them. There's no chance of ever getting to run right if thats the case. There are a couple ways to solve the issue, some pricey some not.

Some guys I worked around in California (Carobu Engineering) did a great "resto-rod" with one of these. They blnded the bumpers, use larger diameter center spline mag's, rebuilt a hot rodded 412 engine. It's a beautiful car.

Hope it treats you well!

Beautiful car. Almost iconic. So rare, born at the wrong time.
Congratulations

Congratulations on your beautiful GTC/4! Like most of the great Ferrari's, the GTC/4 has aged really well.
