Hi...back to the forum after a good while. My fuel gauge is reading full all the time and my rev counter is only registering about a quarter of the revs. The rev counter went wrong first and then fuel gauge about two weeks later. Not many miles during that time. Any ideas anyone? I don't think the two issues are related so we plan to look at the connections to the fuel tank sender but don't know where to start with rev counter. Thanks. Elaine. |

Two different issues, but solution prob. the same: 1. Rev Counter: Sender - 348 [or any Ferrari] tends to have the sender go out. IIRC, when mine went out, and I'm more rusty that others here, it was on the flywheel area .. it is an EASY and not very expensive fix but a bit to get in there...up on a lift. pic below is 'stolen' -- well, it's the net -- from another site.I'll bet RICAMBI has the eas answer to this as they most certainly have done this many times. PM them, they are a sponsor on this site. and VERY helpful. or a few others here when not busy. 2. Fuel Gauge: Sender - might be more problematic in the fix could be more internat to the tank. Mine has not gone out as yet, BUT it does read horribly where [like both cars] it will be near empty, with light on, then boost up somehow to show 1/4+ full. I'll try to research more. tried to give you a link to RICAMBI's site for the drawings, but apparently Ferrari Spa is not being cooperative ![]() shame. Anyway, please contact them via the supported vendors below for better/QUICK solutions/insight or call them. PM Jack Russell Racing is here as Ricambi too. Thanks for the advise thus far. The engine pic doesn't look like a 3.4T but maybe the sensor is the same but pointing towards the front of the car on ours maybe? We are going to see if we can get car over pit and drop the undertray and see if we can see the fuel sender....and maybe give it a tap?....and check the wires are still connected.

I agree on not a T. I do have a 348 engine out and might be able to get a pic this weekend or such and post it, but where sensor resides, general area, is good to look. ALL Ferrari 'named'-like sites, are on notice to warry of posting 'propretary property'. Note the Ricambi site thread. Until we get better shots, I can only post a bit from the internet's avail. pics not owned by Ferrari Guide to the Galaxy: Don't Panic Rik -- LAH !
