Default Solenoid switch for engine lid?

Hi,
I'm looking for a solenoid switch to open the engine lid. Would anyone know where I might find a new or rebuilt one?
Thanks,
Rob

IF You are talking about the console switch, that is a common BOSCH part, which is MUCH less expensive from a BMW/Porsche dealer: Try them.

IF you are referring to the switch actually on the Engine Lid, then see below

Either case these references will solve, today.

Call Brian Keagan at Ferrparts, he is parting out a Mondial T cabriolet : Tell him Rik sent you. I'm currently getting some parts today. Probably best to call [ 888-383-8444 ], I am almost certain he currently has this part.

HOWEVER, I would always call our sponsor too, as they are VERY good for a quick, reliable, accurate and quaranteed part : RICAMBI http://www.ferrarilife.com/dealer/list.php

RICAMBIAMERICA.com here is that part: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_...&V=diag&I=1958

Also the 360 solenoid fits with a bit of adpation, and is cheaper. If you can find the part number i'm sure you could buy it cheap at a bosch agent.

I was able to adapt a solenoid purchased from an advertised in one of the Hot Rod magazines. Cost for the solenoid was less than $100 (versus Ferrari's price of $1430 and Ricambi's price of $700+!).

FYI, Rik, I did call Brian and he had wanted $600 for the part. In any event the solenoid, as per my last comment, was under $100. Thanks, Rob
